DAY 6

The Moon:
The Moon effects water and tides with it's gravitational pull. Because of this pull, gravity can change the area and speed of the water in the day and night.

Project/Presentation:
  • 3D Model; Consist the Sun, the Moon, and Waves.
    • Shows that the Sun is farther away from the Earth then the moon is from Earth, so the moon is what controls the waves with it's gravitation pull.
  • Powerpoint;
    • Definitions of types of waves and the formula
  • Poster
    • Wave Diagrams; How it works and the progression of the waves

DAY 5

Plan For Project/Presentation:
  1. Powerpoint including the main idea with facts and details
  2. Project about how waves work and the different facctors that contribute to their movement.

DAY 4

Progression of Waves:
  • In the first picture above, the picture illustrates the direction of the water motion at different points along the wave.
  • The waves are also caused from the interaction wind and water, and also water and land.
  • Bascom describes wavetank experiments where the circulation of the water was studied. The circles summarize the total motion of the medium when a full wavelength passes.
